KOBUS FOR CLINTON

Greetings fellow Clintonians.

My name is Matt Kobus and I’m seeking re-election for a third term on the Select Board in the Town of Clinton.

Serving on the Select Board has been an honor, and I take the responsibility seriously. Over the past several years, I’ve worked closely with fellow board members, town staff and residents to make thoughtful decisions that keep Clinton moving forward while protecting the town’s long-term stability.

During my time on the board, I’ve focused on responsible financial management, long-term planning, and improving how the town operates day to day. That work has included addressing compensation and personnel issues, investing in town facilities and infrastructure, and supporting efforts to modernize systems so Clinton can operate more efficiently and effectively.

Transparency and accountability have been central to how I approach this role. I believe residents deserve clear information, open discussion and decision-making that is thoughtful, fair and grounded in the best interests of the community. I’ve worked to ask hard questions, review the details and make sure decisions are made in public and with a long-term perspective.

Clinton still has important work ahead. My decision to run for a third term is about continuing that work, bringing experience and consistency to the board and staying focused on practical solutions that serve our residents.

If re-elected, my priorities will remain:

• Open, transparent, and accountable local government;

• Responsible financial oversight and long-term planning; and

• Decisions that are data driven and objective.
